Selah Academy's Day Treatment Program is an Indiana Department of Child Services approved provider that serves clients from Lake, LaPorte and Henry County school districts in grades K - 12. Clients are referred to Selah through the Department of Child Services, Choices, Circle Around Families and the Indiana Juvenile Probation department.
Clients at Selah Academy have the opportunity to complete their core academic subjects through a combination of classroom instruction and self-paced computerized curriculums. We have partnered with the PLATO online learning program to offer accredited online instruction for clients in Grades 6- 12. Additionally, for GED clients, we provide individualized computer-aided GED courses to help them research, learn, and improve their scores for GED tests. Our GED clients also benefit from our partnerships with private GED program providers in Lake, LaPorte, and Henry counties, where they can participate in GED preparation.
At Selah Academy Day Treatment, we prioritize the holistic development of our clients through regular academic and behavioral counseling. Our dedicated day treatment team, supervised by a clinician with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, ensures the provision of comprehensive support. While intensive psychological counseling is not offered, we collaborate with clients, their families, and referring agencies to review and provide recommendations for professional services when necessary.
At Selah Academy, our goal is to support and empower young people and their families by addressing their unique educational, social, and emotional needs. We believe in using proven strategies, interventions, and behavioral models to make a positive impact on families. In response to the increasing needs of children and families in our communities, Selah Academy is committed to providing high-quality therapeutic services. We believe that families should have the freedom to choose their own paths in life, and we are here to offer guidance and support along the way.
